The 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell is an endurance style climbing comp held at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch near Jasper, Arkansas. On September 28-30, teams of two will descend upon the Ranch to endure severe fatigue, dehydration, bloody tips and an unforgettable climbing experience! These teams will have 24 hours to put in as many clean climbs as humanly possible on the hundreds of sport routes on the Ranch.

Welcome to our Grassroots Channel! This is the place to see and share stories, photos and videos of the epic weekend.

There's more info on the 24 Hours of Horseshoe Hell website.

Nat pulling into the sloper crux of the lower part of Ceasar's Tossed Salad while on-sighting just lower half of the route. We traversed to Sabarite's anchors instead of doing the the upper half (10c).

Skipping out on class

Halfway through Jeremy's class on how to tape for Extreme Cage Fighting I couldn't stand it anymore. With only half built tape gloves I skipped out of class to do Entwash 5.9+ even though it was a finger crack and my gloves were pretty useless. Best viewed in full size.

How does he do that??

Jeremy Collins on the very blank Door Prize, 12a... LOOK AT HIS FEET! He had to do several of these odd step throughs, with very thin to non existent holds. Absolute pleasure to watch.

What? DD on toprope?!

In a strange twist of all that is orderly and right, DD allowed ME to be HIS ropegun on this windy day! Sheesh, us ropeguns have to do ALL the work... :-D Commodus, 10a at HCR

Final lap on final route in HCR 24

We were lucky that one of the routes on our list finally was available to run up as our 60th route of the 24hours. After a tough start it is a really fun route and a perfect one to relax on and enjoy the view from the top.

Climbing at HCR Hell requires just as much night climbing as day climbing

You find you can send some pretty hard stuff after dark when you have to get at least one route an hour in for HCR 24 competition. Nat did find night trad a little spooky though.
