What's up climbing community!!
I'm looking for some help! I am going out to Chicago for a business trip from December 10th to the 16th, and would love to sneak some climbing in to see what "IL" has to offer(Bouldering, sport, Trad, TR, or whatever. I am kind of limited on the amount of gear I can bring with me). Does anyone know of any crags or boulders close by or in the vicinity??(within an hour or two drive!!)Is anyone up for some climbing when I get out there??? I know it's freezing out there, but I'm from Colorado and willing to give it a shot!!

Hit up woodchuck, he might know or he might even let you climb at his place...

Trash, I left a lengthy message in detail for this person before yours, earlier this after noon but where is it I do not know. Hey, I just came across this photo again yesterday and made it my office desktop. We are on a common karma are we?
to repeat for islandertek,,,I began with 'WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY!!' Chicago in Dec. for climbng? Where does he think we are located anyway? He's @$%^&# for any chance of a rock near here for, ohh about 200 miles at the closest. If in downtown, not much luck for any climbs. North suburban area has alot of indoor walls and if he takes the commuter train all the way south until it ends, well he's out here to Camp Woodchuck for an adventure not to be forgotten(see photo above by C-trash). Try back again in late January and we might have ice climbs about 90 min. drive away. Or drive 7 hours to Southern Ill. and you can find some excellent rocks. Otherwise, the Illinois state parks do their best to discourage any kind of fun or adventure sports. This is Not Colorado. Too many lawyers ready to file suit if you fall, etc. Best of luck
