Colette McInerney had a fun article on women climbing that talked about acknowledging the unique mental and physical achievements of the top female climbers. I found it informative and interesting. I was wondering if anyone else read it and what they thought of it.

i'm going to be in Moab sometime within the next two weeks. where do i find a climbing partner in Moab? are there any climber hangouts in the town of moab? i want to spend some time climbing, and i also want to take an afternoon/evening to hike to delicate arch.

Anyone want to give me their opinions on your favorite trad climbing ropes. I got enough money to buy one this Christmas and it seems that every time I buy a new one I have no idea what is good. Everything is new and different.

The last time I went home to Montana and saw my nephews, both of them showed great interest in the idea of getting in to climbing. I was thinking that Christmas would be the perfect time to get them something to encourage their efforts. However, it seems that everywhere I look online and in stores (at least in this area) it's all geared toward adults. Sure, there is stuff for teenagers, but nephews are 8 and 10. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Red River Gorge

For Katie and anyone else:

I am going to Red River Gorge next week. The forecast is calling for rain the early part of the week. What areas are good to climb if it rains? 5.7-5.9 trad, 5.7-5.10 sport.
