This is another shot of me on the splitter section of this route. It was cupped hands for me right here and fists just before the pod. Luckily there's another crack to the left that was perfect hands at the pod that made getting into the pod a lot easier.

This is Krister Jonsson of Alpine Madness plugging a cam on the classic finger splitter Dos Hermanos. He almost sent the route but slipped at the crux. It was a pretty hot day for November.

Coming out of the pod.

This is me on an unnamed 5.10 on the Scare Face wall at Indian Creek. I'm only about half way to the anchor at this point, and getting completely out of the pod was kinda tricky.

Climber Survival in Florida

Posted by captain static on 7/10/2007 on captain static's blog

Captain Static here bloggin' atcha from poolside. Just finishing up a one week vacation in sunny Florida. How does a climber survive for a week in Florida? Well I bought the latest issues of all three climbing rags, Urban Climber, Rock & Ice, and Climbing to read. Really, I needed the rest after messing up both my middle fingers earlier this spring. They have slowly have been getting better and hopefully with having taken one week off I'll be ready to start training for the fall season @ the Red.
