Posted by Jimn72 on 11/30/2007 on Jimn72's blog

Just wanted to wish you a happy Birthday Katie. I hope everything is going great for you and I hope you have a fantastic B-day. Don't drink too much (that's what I'm "suppose" to say) or drink a hell load and have fun.

Hope to see some news soon.

Something for the guys in '08

Our fearless leader on March of the Jellyfish, 5.12+

Well it just came in the mail today and I'm ready to write a 'review' for the Women of Climbing 2008 calendar.  This one definately has more focus on the quality of the climb, compared to some past years when the quality of the boob shot was in the lead. Now don't get me wrong in any way here; this and all previous WOC calendars have been spectacular, and I'm happy to see great quality in BOTH included per month.

Climber Survival in Florida

Posted by captain static on 7/10/2007 on captain static's blog

Captain Static here bloggin' atcha from poolside. Just finishing up a one week vacation in sunny Florida. How does a climber survive for a week in Florida? Well I bought the latest issues of all three climbing rags, Urban Climber, Rock & Ice, and Climbing to read. Really, I needed the rest after messing up both my middle fingers earlier this spring. They have slowly have been getting better and hopefully with having taken one week off I'll be ready to start training for the fall season @ the Red.

Katie makes the business pages

Posted by steve outing on 5/16/2007 on steve outing's blog

Katie's star seems to be rising even outside the climbing world. She's in the business section! ... That is, Katie Brown's Rock Talk blog here on YourClimbing.com got a mention this week in the Wall Street Journal, in Keith Huang's Blog Watch column.

I'd point you to the article but it's behind a "subscription wall" at WSJ.com. So I'll excerpt Keith's item here:

Professional climber Katie Brown, 26, has been scaling rock faces since she was a teenager, making an early name for herself by winning titles in the U.S. and in Europe. She says her blog helps readers "get an idea of who I am as a person, rather than just an image."
